So, this Halloween is pretty special. It falls on a Saturday, is during a full moon, and also occurs on daylight saving time. That is a pretty huge trifecta that is hard to ignore. I know Covid puts a damper on any typically huge parties one may attend but that doesn’t mean it can’t be something really special.
That brings me to this; after a ton of edits and some disturbing research, you can finally try out our newest game, Serial Killer Social. It’s a smaller, more intimate game for 5 to 6 people where everyone gets to try out the headspace of a unique, fictional serial killer. Each character is uniquely inspired by real killers. I should probably go to therapy after writing it.
This game is designed to be run either in person or virtually for whatever type of Halloween party you are comfortable with per any local laws. I can promise you, it will bring out the weirdness in your friends (or at least display how good at acting weird they are).
The Doctor is on a mission to make your Halloween a killer night!
The premise of the game is this:
The great and highly esteemed Doctor Kristof Volkov has encountered a problem…
For years, his highly experimental and potentially dangerous treatments were some of the most radical yet effective means of therapy in the world. Until one fateful session when one of his patients ended up killing herself due to his extreme methods. Her family was incredibly wealthy and influential, and they used all their means to discredit the doctor and try to ruin him.
Beaten but not defeated, Doctor Volkov retreated to the USA to begin again. He had a new and radical therapy in his mind to potentially save lives. This could be the greatest breakthrough in modern psychology. Not to mention, it could be the chance to put him back at the top, where he belongs. The great doctor was going to cure serial killers.
Now, this was not going to be easy. First, he needed to find them and convince them to take therapy. Fortunately for the doctor, he still had vast wealth and underground resources. It was not that difficult to locate a plethora of potential patients. He visited these killers and using persuasion and a hint of blackmail, convinced them to try his homicidal remedy.
The results were mixed, but as time went on the doctor saw some hope for these deranged individuals. He was preparing to start his comeback, but something always wore in the back of his mind. These people are professional liars and psychopaths, what if they were just faking it? The doctor had to be sure. What better way to bring out the true nature of someone than through a party? Doctor Volkov has invited 5 of his most promising “cured” serial killers to an evening party to celebrate their success and to discover once and for all who is cured and who is crazy. What could go wrong?
