So you’ve mustered the courage to set out into the sun-bleached wasteland? Sign up below is for the: Saturday, June 12th at 12:00 PM playtest. This will be an in-person game taking place in Aurora, Colorado.
Please read these sign-up instructions carefully:
There are 6 Driver spots for each playtest and 6 Mechanic spots for each playtest. Each Driver must have a functioning street-legal vehicle capable of transporting them along with one Mechanic on a series of small events that will take place throughout the game.
The game is a 6-12 player game and it is designed with the intention of casting the 6 Drivers before the 6 Mechanics. If you have a working vehicle and are willing to participate as a Driver, please select “DRIVER” in your RSVP section below. We would ideally like to fill in all Driver spots before starting to fill in Mechanic spots, but I know this may not be an option for everyone. Please contact us if you have more questions about this aspect of the game.
What you need to bring (and shouldn’t bring):
This game will be taking place in the parking lot of the old Safeway near Parkway Bar and Grill and is a somewhat different style than past murder mystery games. As mentioned above, all Drivers will need to have a working vehicle for the game. It goes without saying that you should probably have gas in said vehicle and be prepared to drive out on some small “missions” throughout the game. It also goes without saying that anyone driving should not be drinking or inebriated in any way.
There is a decent chance that a bunch of people dressed like they are in the apocalypse in an empty parking lot might call some attention to us, so I highly recommend leaving any drugs or alcohol at home for this one. Along these lines, it’s important that no one should bring anything that looks like a weapon to these playtests. While I know it can look great with a costume, please do not bring any weapons or anything that resembles a weapon!
Additionally, everyone attending should have a small amount of money (roughly $5) to cover potential expenditures during your pilgrimages out into the wasteland. You will also want to bring a fully charged phone along. While we will be providing printed character sheets for everyone when they arrive, if you want to reference your character background you will need to do so on your phone. Your phone will also be very important when you set out on your missions during the game. Last and certainly not least, everyone should come decked out in their finest post-apocalyptic-wasteland gear. There will be filming occurring during the game and there will be a photo shoot set up as well for use on our site. We will have photo consent forms for anyone who hasn’t already signed one and is willing to have their images used on our site. We will also be relying on players to film their trials as they venture out into the scorched hellscape of 2144. So, if you are willing to have your images used for our promotions, get your best costume ready.
We will be arriving on location around 11 AM to start setting up for the photoshoot and I encourage players to arrive early as well so that we can set you up with your character sheets, go over any questions you might have, and take a few photos of you in front of the green screen. We will also have washable car paints available for anyone who might want to decorate their cars before the game starts.

BRING:
– Drivers need a vehicle with fuel.
– $5 either in cash or on a card so that you can compete in several pilgrimages into the wasteland.
– A fully charged cell phone to reference your character background and to use for maps during the game.
– An amazing post-apocalyptic costume!
DON’T BRING:
– Any drugs or alcohol. (Boo, I know.)
– Weapons or anything that looks like a weapon.
