Here at Dastardly Deeds Murder Mysteries, we set off initially with the idea of crafting thrilling and original murder mystery games. The idea was simple; get together with friends and experience the thrill of solving a murder (or maybe committing a murder) in a fun role-playing environment. For anyone unfamiliar with this style of game, think of is as equal parts Dungeons and Dragons and getting drunk at a Saturday evening potluck with friends. While there are other similarly styled games online, we wanted to make beautifully crafted original events that touch on scenarios that often seem neglected by other companies. Armed with undoubtedly warped minds, we set ourselves up to start playtesting a plethora of original concepts and ideas intended for adult audiences. Inspired by reruns of early 1990s wrestling matches at the local bar, our original Dastardly Deeds Murder Mystery came in the form of Wrestling Murder Mystery. We set out to craft a unique experience that mixed old role-playing concepts with a new streamlined style of gameplay for our friends. Our first playtests were beyond hilarious, and we were quickly inspired to write more. Things were going swimmingly, and plans were set to start playtesting more with the help of our friends and family. That was until a pesky little global pandemic hit…

Online Gaming in Corona Virus Times:
This led us to where we are now. Online gaming in Corona Virus times became our only resort. We quickly realized that the influx of new video chat services was the perfect way to usher in a new style of online gaming. Through a little bit of ingenuity, and a heavy reliance on our aforementioned warped minds, we started work on several online games each with their own unique flavor and theme. This led to creation and playtesting of A Game of Mutually Assured Destruction and Celebrity Mixer Party. We went into trial runs of the games with entirely untested system of play and nothing more that a concept that happened to work out better than we could have imagined. It wasn’t easy formulating a way for over a dozen people to interact in a role-playing scenario through video chat, but the results were hilarious, to say the least. Online gaming in Corona Virus times ended up not only being a viable option to connect with friends, but a chance to see old faces, friends, and family from across the world. This was the first step in making what would become Dastardly Deeds Murder Mysteries.

The goal now is simple.
